This does NOT include your specific financial transaction details (like amounts, payees, or descriptions of expenses/income).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To Provide and Maintain the App: To create and manage your account, enable you to use the App's features for expense tracking, budgeting, and goal setting.
• To Improve the App: To understand how users interact with the App, identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and enhance user experience. App Activity Data (excluding financial transaction details) helps us in this process.
• To Communicate with You: To send you important notices about the App, such as updates, security alerts, support messages, or changes to our terms or policies. We may also use your email address to respond to your inquiries.
• For Future Development (Optional): We may use aggregated and anonymized App Activity Data for research and development purposes to enhance future versions of the App or develop new features.

3. Data Storage and Processing - On-Device Focus

• Financial Data: Mishree is designed with your privacy as a priority. All your financial information, including transaction details, budget figures, and goal amounts, is stored exclusively on your local device. This financial data is NOT sent to, stored on, or processed by our servers.
• Account and Activity Data: Your name, email address, and App Activity Data (as defined in Section 1, excluding financial transaction details) are collected by us and may be stored on secure servers to facilitate account management and app improvement.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

• No Third-Party Sharing of Personal Information: We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information (name, email) or your App Activity Data with third parties for their marketing or other purposes.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
  • Comply with a legal obligation.
  • Protect and defend our rights or property.
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the App.
  • Protect the personal safety of users of the App or the public.
  • Protect against legal liability.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect (name, email, App Activity Data) from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data stored by us.

Since your core financial data is stored only on your device, the security of that data also depends on the security measures you take to protect your device (e.g., using strong passwords, enabling device encryption, keeping your operating system updated).

6. Your Choices Regarding Your Information

• Deleting Your Account: If you wish to delete your account and the associated information we store (name, email, App Activity Data), please contact us at [subhashini.chellappa@gmail.com]. Please note that deleting your account will result in the loss of this information from our servers, but it will not automatically delete the financial data stored locally on your device. You are responsible for managing and deleting data stored on your own device.
• Promotional Communications (if applicable): If you receive promotional emails from us, you can opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in those emails. Even if you opt out of receiving promotional messages, you may still receive important communications regarding your account or the App.
